There has been a watermill on this site since the 13th Century and Haines Mill has now been lovingly restored. Part of the property has a self contained suite of rooms for self catering holiday accommodation comprising the large mill room with kitchenette and dining facility plus double bed. Colour tv in the lounge area. The ensuite shower room and toilet leads into the original granary room with high oak beamed ceilings and forming the additional double bedroom. All bedlinen and towels are included in price. Kitchen is equipped with microwave, electric frying pan, toaster, sandwich toaster, filter coffee maker, electric kettle and fridge. Suitable for making breakfasts and snacks only but there are a good variety of pubs in the area with an excellent range of menus. The mill is nestled alongside its stream at the bottom of beautiful Harley Valley and close to the Radnor Forest in mid Wales, which provides great pleasure for walkers, cyclists, bird watchers and all nature lovers alike. Golfers, also, appreciate the high altitude course in nearby Kington. Whilst the milling of corn is no longer an active process, good use is made of the associated buildings in the form of a Welsh woodcraft workshop.
