The Braich Goch is 3 miles from Cadair Idris. There are stunning views of the Dovey valley and Dyfi Forest.

We have converted from hotel to bunkhouse accommodation specifically with walkers, cyclists and other outdoor enthusiasts in mind. Facilities include drying room, secure bike storage, large well equipped self-catering kitchen. 6 bedrooms sleep 26. 4 ensuite and a further two bathrooms.

The location is ideal for walking, cycling, climbing, and canoeing at all levels as well as bird watching or simply chilling out!

Cadair Idris is within easy reach and can provide challenging walking. Many other walks are easily accessible at all levels.

The specifically built Cli-machx mountain biking trail is on our doorstep. The Mach 1,2 & 3 trails, Coed y Brenin and Nant yr Arian are all within easy reach.

We are able to find you activity packages with fully qualified instructors and all equipment in kayaking, canoeing, climbing at various levels.

In the newly refurbished pub (open to the public tues, thurs, fri & sat evenings)you will find a cosy log-burning stove, real ales, pool, darts, table skittles + more. Live music evenings (see website).

In the area are King Arthur’s Labyrinth and Corris Craft Centre, the Centre for Alternative Technology, Machynlleth, Coed y Brenin Forest Park and the coast.
