Ty Croeso (pronounced Tee Croy-so) and meaning ‘house of welcome’, is set high on the hillside just above the Monmouth & Brecon canal only half a mile from the charming town of Crickhowell in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

The hotel is constructed from Welsh stone and dates from the early 19th century when it was part of a Victorian workhouse. All of our guest bedrooms are en-suite with television, telephone, radio and tea/coffee making facilities. There are splendid views over the River Usk and the Black Mountains or over the garden.

Our restaurant serves the renowned “Taste of Wales” menu using only the finest quality ingredients and local produce wherever possible. On chilly winter evenings we light a welcoming log fire in the lounge bar, and in summer you may sit outside on the flower-filled terrace.
