Nestling in the Brecon Beacons, close to the Black Mountains, Cobbles Cottage is in an ideal location for walking, sightseeing and outdoor activities in and around the area. Llangorse Lake offers Sailing, and boating,while the Rope Centre offers climbing and horse riding. Canoeing is easily arranged on the River Wye and for the more adventurous a Gliding Centre is some four miles away. Alternatively just come and enjoy Welsh hospitality and the beautiful scenery.
The famous Hay Festival takes place only 6 miles away and the Brecon Jazz festival at a distance of 9 miles.
The cottage itself is the former dairy of Great House,a grade II listed property of historical note, and combines olde worlde charm with modern comfortable living. The cottage boasts a 20ft lounge with wood burning stove, a large double bedroom and a smaller twin. A camp bed is available for additional children. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave and dishwasher. Outside the cottage has its own cosy private patio with access to the gardens, and parking space for two cars. Conveniently situated for local amenities, the village store is 50 yds away, and there are several pubs within close walking distance. Good eating places abound within a 10 mile radius.
