The Smithy has been beautifully converted to provide bright accommodation. The ground floor gives a spacious lounge/kitchenette/dining, with shower room off. There’s a Galleried bedroom with double bed, storage & hair dryer. The lounge has 3 large sofas, one converts into a double bed. We also have two put-you-up beds. Satellite TV, Hi-fi & DVD player. The kitchenette is well equipped. There’s a fridge, microwave, grill/oven, toaster, kettle, mini hob, iron & ironing board. All towels & bedding are included. A welcome pack is provided. The Smithy is strictly NO SMOKING. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement. The Penybont Inn is right next door. Towards Llangedwyn you’ll find the Green Inn or back to Porth-Y-Waen the Lime Kiln both serve excellent beer & food. Llansantffraid there's a convenience shop/garage, Fish & Chips, an Indian Restaurant that also does take aways & pubs, all of which serve food. Llanrhaedr & the Waterfall, this is the highest in England & Wales & is one of the Seven Wonders of Wales. Lake Vyrnwy, the man made Dam was completed in 1888. You can bird watch, walk or cycle. There is an RSPB shop, along with a café selling local items. Go to Snowdonia National Park, Portmeirion, Blaenau Ffestiniog & see the slate mines. Rhyl, Colwyn Bay & Llandudno on the North Coast. Drive across the Menai Bridge for Anglesey and Holyhead or into the Heart of Wales you’ll find Welshpool, Rhayader, Llandrindod Wells. Chester, Shrewsbury & Manchester are easily accessible.
