There are many places of interest for guests to visit in the surrounding area, for example The Elan Valley, which is referred to as 'The Lakeland of Wales' is a pleasant 30 minute drive from the cottages passing spectacular scenery. The ancient capital of Wales, Machynlleth is just 19 miles from Llanidloes and is reached via the Mountain Road taking in some fantastic scenery en route machynlleth.biz).
